A proprietary blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah, Malbec, and a kiss of Petit Verdot, the grapes are chosen from three of our estate vineyards located in Coombsville, Oak Knoll, and Mt. Veeder. The wine is aged 21 months in barrel and consists of 35% new French oak and 20% new American oak.
The dark red velvet color is deep and intense. The aromas burst forth with graphite, red currants, sweet vanilla, leather, toasty oak, licorice, and guava peel. In classic El Llano style, the palate confirms the aromas with red currant, cassis, framboise, vanilla bean, and maple. The silky tannins are well-integrated and mouthwatering and lead to an extensive and long finish.
